Dearest, loveliest subscribers, great news! You now have a free book!
(How do you actually access the book? Keep reading.)
You get this Olympus Inc. prequel, my retelling of the Penelope and Odysseus story, firstly because I am very happy you’re here, and you deserve nice things! But of course, you also get it because I want you to read it and immediately pre-order Persephone in Bloom. (If you have already done that, this is the part where you get to feel smug.)
Why pre-order?
For readers: If you pre-order, the book gets delivered straight to you. You don’t have to remember that the book might be out now. You just open your e-reader to read whatever you’re reading, and then BOOM, another book is there, a delightful gift from the wise and generous Past You.
For authors: Pre-orders are vital to a book’s success. They don’t count as sales until the second the clock ticks over, and then they count as a bulk lot of sales on the first day the book is available.
This means that every bookseller algorithm sees a (hopefully!) large number of sales on the first day and goes, “Oh, lots of people like this book! I should promote it to more people who haven’t bought it, and might like it!” Then (hopefully!) more people buy it and like it and tell their friends, and the algorithm tells more people that they might like the book, and they buy it and like it and tell their friends and it’s a beautiful circle of joy and book sales, and eventually I get to do this full time. And you get more books.
Because a pre-order does this extra work, it’s an even better way to support me (and get more books!) than a regular sale.
So, please enjoy Penelope Pops the Question! And if you like the world of Olympus Inc. and want more from these characters and this setting, please pre-order Persephone in Bloom.

In that case a fuller review for here. I *think* it’s spoiler free but proceed with caution: I loved this lil novella with its extremely competent leads. I enjoyed the “retelling” part and dredging up ancient knowledge of the namesakes and the way that this is subverted and repurposed to serve more modern sensibilities as well. The world building of Olympus Publishing and glimpses of other characters has made me super excited for more in this series. I hope we get to spend more time with these leads too because they are truly delightful! Cannot wait for more! Thank you for this delicious morsel!
I just read this and it was so good! I want more! Where is the most useful place to review it? I can’t see it on goodreads (also your Kate Healey profile seems to be merged with a different Kate Healey?)
